It is vitally important to maintain routine eye exams. The American Optometrist Association recommends yearly or bi-yearly eye and vision exams, depending on whether you are at-risk or not. During a complete eye exam, one of our Jackson Davenport optometrists will determine any prescription needs you may have for eyeglasses or contact lenses and check your eyes for common eye diseases, and overall health.
Our eye exams can detect:
- Early signs of serious health problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and risk of stroke
- Risk of future vision loss
- Glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and detached retina
Eye exams include a consultation with your doctor to discuss any special needs or questions, followed by a routine eye examination with eye muscle movement tests, cover tests, vision tests, and more.
