What happens at a fitting.
A contact lens fitting is part of a contact lens exam, which includes everything in a comprehensive eye exam plus the fitting itself. For the fitting, we measure the curvature and surface of your eyes.
When trial lenses are available, you can wear-test them in daily life, and a follow-up, when needed, confirms the fit and finalizes your prescription.
Fittings take place at our one office, 218 Old Trolley Road, and the eye doctor in Summerville page has our hours and doctors. You can order your contact lenses through our office, and once the fitting is complete you receive a copy of your prescription, which you can use with any seller that fills contact lens prescriptions.
Contact lens exams start at $125. The plans we accept are listed on our insurance and benefits page. Contact lens exams include a separate fitting and follow-up, and we carry trial pairs of most major brands.
