We believe great eye care should be easy to pay for. We file most major medical and vision plans directly, so in most cases your only job is to bring your insurance information with you.

Not sure about your plan? Call us at (843) 871-9750 before your visit and we will verify your coverage for you.
Vision insurance vs. medical insurance
The two work differently, and knowing which applies helps you plan.
Vision plans (like VSP and EyeMed) typically cover your routine annual exam and include allowances toward glasses or contact lenses.
Medical insurance (like BlueCross BlueShield) typically applies when a visit is about a medical concern: diabetic eye exams, eye emergencies, glaucoma monitoring, or other eye health conditions.
If a routine visit uncovers a medical issue, we will explain how your coverage applies before anything happens.
Paying without insurance
No insurance? No problem. A comprehensive eye exam is $105 without insurance, and most patients with vision insurance pay $0 to $30 out of pocket. Contact lens exams start at $125; with insurance, the contact lens prescription is an additional charge based on your specific plan.
Using your eyewear benefits
Many vision plans include a yearly allowance toward frames, lenses, or contact lenses. Bring your plan information when you shop and we will apply your benefit and explain any difference before you commit.
